HMR-Apple Caramel Chips

This is from reader Chris who left this recipe in a comment.  I haven’t tried it but it looks good.  Let me know if you try it.

Apple Caramel Chips

2 packets vanilla 800
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 TBSP ground Fiber One
1 packet DRY Alpine sugar free apple spice drink mix
2/3 cup water
2 to 3 Splenda caramel flavoring packets

Mix first four dry ingredients. Add water. batter will
be similar to consistency of elmers glue. Drop by baby spoons on a cookie sheet sprayed with buttered Pam. Sprinkle with a few taps of caramel Splenda, like lightly sugaring a cookie. Bake at 275 for 25 minutes. Flip chips and return to oven. TURN OFF OVEN and allow to dry. 3 to 4 hours. Enjoy or put in sealed bag in freezer.

Scrapping Again

It’s been a while since I was feeling creative enough to scrap some pictures but I had a recent burst of inspiration.  I don’t share all my layouts but occasionally I do one that I really like and share it with my bloggie friends.  Here is one I did recently:

A View From The Back Deck

My internet friend Stepherz has a nice blog that I read frequently.  She blogs about her everyday life, family, projects and basically whatever is on her mind.  She recently blogged about her family’s latest project, a backyard (naked man) garden.  It made me wish I had a backyard too.  We live in a large town home in a beautiful neighborhood, but no yard.  Then I glanced out the sliding glass door that leads to our back deck and this is what I saw:

A little humming bird in one of the hundreds of giant Eucalyptus trees that surround us.

Our hummingbird

Here she is again, patiently waiting for me to step away from the red, juicy, goodness.

Hummingbird

This…is the red, juicy, goodness.

Tastey

This is the view that goes along with the red, juicy goodness.

A few more of those gorgeous giant Eucalyptus trees looking in the opposite direction from the red, juicy, goodness view.

And if you look down, this is what you’ll see:

And a couple of little lovelies that make their home right on my deck.

Flower

And finally a little lovely that likes to hang out with me while I take in the view and realize  just how truly blessed I am.

Still Working On It

As you can tell, I’m still in the process of updating my blog look.  I’m liking this template because I can customize the graphics quite easily.  Now if I just had a few spare, uninterrupted minutes to get it all together.  For now, ignore pretty much all the stuff in the right side bar until I get it updated with my stuff.  (Right now it’s just the generic stuff that came with the template.)

Freedom

Once you let’em out of the stroller, that’s it. There’s no going back. LOL
